Ah, the biggest and the best company that makes jigsaw puzzles today, is that of Ravensburger. When you visit any major game store, or even places like Target, or Barnes and Noble, you will see this brand more often. This is a brand that is a precision jigsaw puzzle maker, and there’s several reasons why the company is one of the best reviewed, most iconic of jigsaw puzzle makers. For one thing, they produce puzzles with iconic images, and with a number of different pieces, that range from 500 to 18,000. That’s right, 18,000 pieces, which seems like an insane thing, but for some, difficult jigsaw puzzles are their thing. I for one cannot get tot he 18,000 piece puzzle yet, but I’m sure that it could very well be the challenge of a lifetime for someone that is looking to create stellar artwork, and wants to hang it up. Today, we are going to be reviewing the Ravensburger Atrium Garden 1500 Piece Jigsaw Puzzle. This is a 1500 piece puzzle that features a lot of intricate colors, and some confusing spots when you put it together, but it comes with the Ravensburger branding, and it may not be as hard as you may think.
Vital Information About This Jigsaw Puzzle
First thing first, you’re going to find that this is not listed amid the most difficult jigsaw puzzles. I don’t think it’s that hard, but it has some difficult components to it. Mainly the colors of the flowers that blend together through the left, right, and center-point, then go forward throughout the interior design. Then there’s the roof, which can be tough as well. Aside from that, you are going to get high quality pieces, as the company is known for using high quality cardboard, and high resolution printing on the puzzle themselves.
The fit is perfect, and the fit is made with a specific steel cut that is 100% accurate. If you have ever put together a Ravensburger puzzle before, then you already know that the company really goes out of their way to cut, and put together puzzles that fit with precise elements. The precision fit is a proprietary element that the company prides themselves on, or your money back. That being said, this has 1500 pieces and they all fit together with precision, so that if you were to frame this, and step back, it looks like a real painting, not a puzzle that has been completed.
What I appreciate about the Ravensburger Atrium Garden 1500 Piece Jigsaw Puzzle, is that it has a soft click technology. At first I was not aware about this, but then I put my ear closer to the puzzle and it’s true. There’s a “click” sound that you hear when you put these pieces in place. I was surprised by that little fact, and it really makes this puzzle, and company worth investing into for their puzzles. They are a little more expensive than your average one, but that precision really sells it for me, making this one of the better options for a gift, etc.
Difficulty of The Jigsaw Puzzle
As you put together the 1500 piece puzzle, you will find that you can either find this to be soothing, simple to work with, or it will be amidst the most difficult jigsaw puzzles you are going to be working on. I read a few reviews on this one, and some people rated it 3 out of 5 starts because it got really challenging. One person on Amazon even said they rage quit, and had to step away. Another person stated that this option didn’t have high resolution imaging, which I disagree with. Overall, however, the difficulty of this puzzle ranges from novice to expert depending on how you work with colors.
The Commo Conservatory is pictured here and the flowers are going to give you the toughest of problems. The colors associated with the flowers and the roofing is going to be hard to deal with, and I found that the colors blend too well together. That is the difficult aspect of this puzzle, but it is not an impossible task. I found that it got easier over time. You’ll have to really pay attention to the color elements, and the pieces or you will start to blend them all together and your eyes will cross.
As far as the most difficult of options, Ravensburger has some seriously hard puzzles. This is not one of them. This is a 1500 piece puzzle that is going to be easy to work with if you’re already used to putting together a lot of puzzles, but if you’re new, or if you are just looking for something that is soothing, then this will work well, but it could end up being frustrating if you’re not used to it. I found some of it frustrating, but after a few breaks here and there, it went well enough.
Jigsaw Puzzle Rating Based on Difficulty and Design
After seeing some other people’s finished product, and giving this a shot, I can truly say that this is a fun puzzle to put together. I actually want to visit this conservatory now, because I love the colors and the flowers are so amazing. I’d love to take a real photo of this, and frame the puzzle after the fact. This is not one of the most difficult jigsaw puzzles you’ll put together, but it does give a good challenge, and hours of fun. To that effect, I’m going to give this puzzle a 4 out of 5. The brand is so good, and while the price is a little more than I’d like to spend on a lot of puzzles, I can say that it’s well worth it. I love the quality, and even bought one of these for my sister.
Where You Can Buy This Jigsaw Puzzle
As mentioned above, you could find Ravensburger jigsaw puzzles in most major retailers. I saw them yesterday while I was shopping at Target. I did not see this specific one, but they had a few there. These are mainstays, and the company has been working with making precision puzzles for more than 100 years. If you’re going to get a puzzle based on brand, then this is a great brand to take into consideration. You can purchase the Ravensburger Atrium Garden 1500 Piece Jigsaw Puzzle by clicking here.
